FTP transfer
The title “Scheduled FTP Transfer” contains two parts. One is FTP transfer, the other is scheduled transfer. In this paragraph, we are talking about FTP transfer. If you are a website administrator, you must use FTP very often. FTP is used for managing files of server. In the Internet world, huge numbers of files are stored in FTP. When you want to transfer file, you can try FTP transfer. There are many methods to do FTP transfer. Such as downloading from one FTP to the local hard disk then re-uploading to another FTP. When facing two remote servers, you can try some FTP clients. But this requires two computers installed with the same client program. Is there any better way? Yes, of course. FTP transfer with MultCloud
MultCloud is a free web app that means any client doesn’t need installing. Just opening your browser with Internet connecting is OK. Register and log in MultCloud, you can see the following screen shot.
FTP is in them. MultCloud also supports other cloud services. Adding FTP in MultCloud need identifiable information: server, username and password. The display name can be customized.

When you add two FTPs in MultCloud, it is time to teach you how to do direct FTP to FTP transfer.
1st way
Select “Copy” or “Copy to” from the context menu. If you select “Copy”, you should “Paste” in another FTP. If you select “Copy to”, a pop-up window will guide you how to move. In fact, you can move target files directly by dragging&dropping. I suggest you try it yourself, thus you will understand better.
2nd way
Click Transfer button at the top to enter Transfer Service interface. Set the source FTP and destination FTP and some optional options. All is ready, click the right bottom “Run Now” to apply.
Scheduled FTP transfer with MultCloud
Finally, we will discuss scheduled FTP transfer. The only difference from the 2nd way above is not to run immediately but to schedule later. Select “Schedule Later” from drop-down list as follow.
A window will pop up. MultCloud provides four scheduling. They will be explained one by one as follows.
Transfer once at specified date and specified time.
Transfer at specified time everyday.
Transfer at specified time and specified day(s) of the week.
Transfer at specified time and specified day(s) of the month.
When you decide well, click “Save”. The scheduled task will be stored in the task manager. You can open and edit the task from the right top small cube button.
