Can I Move Photos from Google Photos to OneDrive?
âI have stored a lot of photos on Google Photos. Now, I would like to transfer all my photos from Google Photos to OneDrive to backup these photos. But I donât want to suffer from downloading all photos from Google Photos to local drive and then uploading them to OneDrive. How can I transfer photos to OneDrive in an easier way? Any advice will be appreciated!â
How to Move Google Photos to OneDrive?
The most common solution we can think of is to use the download-and-upload function provided by the cloud drive itself.
Solution 1. Download and Upload
Step 1. Open Google Photos official website ang log in with your Google account.
Step 2. Select multiple photos that you want to move to OneDrive.
Step 3. Click "More options" (three dots in the top-right corner) at the top right.
Step 4. Click "Download" button from the pop-up window.
Step 5. Log in your OneDrive account, select "Upload", select "Folder" and select the downloaded folder to upload.
Notes:
- When downloading pictures from Google Photos, they will be downloaded into a zip file. Before uploading to OneDrive, you need to unzip this file first.
- This method has a limit of up to 500 images and/or videos that can be downloaded at one time. If you have more than 500 images and/or videos, you will need to repeat the process until they are all downloaded.
In addition to this method, there is a free and very easy-to-use solution, that is to use MultCloud. You will find in the following part of this article.
Solution 2. Move Google Photos to OneDrive with MultCloud
Sometimes, it is really troublesome and time-consuming to copy Google Photos to OneDrive via downloading and uploading if there are thousands of pictures to download. Notes:
- The âOptionsâ make it possible to send email notification, exclude certain files from being transferred and etc.
- The âScheduleâ enables to perform the task once, daily, weekly or monthly.
- MultCloud doesn't have any limits on the size and how many files can be transferred. If you have a lot of files to move, you can transfer all of them at once.
After moving Google Photos to OneDrive, click the âTask Listâ button to enter the interface that all tasks will be listed. Here are five options for you: Schedule, Options, Delete, and View Logs.
